Avril Lavigne has confirmed that her subsequent album is completed and can land this 12 months.
The singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album, the title of which is at the moment unknown, might be her first since 2019’s ‘Head Above Water‘ and is promised to be a return to her pop punk roots.
Lavigne confirmed the information whereas responding to a fan on Instagram, who requested her when her seventh album can be prepared. “It’s finished! Music coming quickly. For certain summer time,” she replied.

The Canadian singer-songwriter has been teasing the report for months by sharing studio snaps with the likes of MOD SUN, with whom she not too long ago collaborated on the one ‘Flames’, as well as Machine Gun Kelly.
Different pictures and video from the studio present that Lavigne has been working with producer John Feldmann.
In an interview with Wall Of Sound final December, Feldmann mentioned that the report would hear Lavigne channel pop punk. “I’m engaged on making an album with Avril Lavigne proper now who I simply love. I really like making this album, I really like her and I’m having the most effective time.”
When requested if he can be “bringing again her pop-punk roots” on the LP, Feldmann responded, “Fuck yeah!”
In addition to releasing her new album this summer time, Lavigne is also set to tour the UK – supplied that coronavirus restrictions have eased – after the the 2020 European leg of her ‘Head Above Water’ tour was postponed.
Lavigne’s final album got here in 2019’s ‘Head Above Water’, which NME described as “a deeply trustworthy album that sounds loads like rising up gracefully”.
