Ancestral Archeology: Nina Pixel & Adrián Kriška on creating 21st century folklore

The duo focus on the inspirations behind their new AV present at Lunchmeat Competition 2020.

Ancestral Archeology is an AV undertaking created by Berlin-based producer Nina Pixel and visible artist Adrián Kriška. The present, which attracts inspiration from Slovakian folklore, obtained its world premiere at Prague’s National Gallery as a part of Lunchmeat Festival 2020.

On this video, the duo speak to Truth in regards to the conventional devices used within the composition of the music, in addition to the cultural and visible inspirations behind the present and the way it attracts on feminist and queer types of folklore.

“The concept of the undertaking is to supply various narrative to the classical folklore narrative, which is given normally to us,” Pixel says. “It’s time to vary the narrative and fill this empty area of this type of folklore.”
